Rijksmuseum

Afternoon excursion to Textile Conservation Centre of the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
Departure 13:00 hour
Price : € 51,00

By bus from Zaandam to Amsterdam where the group will be split into smaller groups, as we can only go with a maximum of 15 persons to the Research and Conservation Centre.

Group 1 goes to the Textile Conservation and Research Centre. Here you will find a selection of laces from the collection 17th to the 20th century, including items from the Royal collection. The conservator will be present to introduce and to answer any questions.

Group 2 goes to the Rijkmuseum. Here one can, based on information available at the entrance, decide what one wants to see.

Group 3 will explore the surroundings of the Rijksmuseum led by an experienced guide.

After one hour the groups will be switched.

– Bus from Zaandam to Amsterdam v.v.

– Walking tour led by an experienced guide

Thursday August 9th 2018 :
For both excursion : Around the clock by five we are back in Zaandam.

By bus to Schagen to visit the West-Friese parade.
After lunch a visit to the private museum of Piet and Annita Mooij.
Piet collects agriculture tractors and Annita collect everything about lace making.
She made her own West-Friese cap of Beveren Lace.


By bus to Volendam.
At Volendam we start at the Volendam Museum with a guided tour.
After this we walk to the Dike and go by boat to Marken for a lunch.
In the afternoon there will be a guided visit to the Marker Museum and a guided walk around the island.
